Either we missed the release of this Rated R comedy or it has been a drop-in by the studio Sony since Greenland was pulled and delayed to “TBA 2020” from its launch on 9/25/2020.
Calling it quits after 38 years, an aging fast-food worker trains his young replacement on the graveyard shift at Oscar’s Chicken and Fish. The Last Shift (2020) – Rotten Tomatoes
This is confirmed as showing at the lone Regal Cinema not too far away from us that we’ve been seeing movies at since it reopened, so we’ll be seeing it this coming weekend most likely. Working 38 years at a restaurant and training your replacement sounds kind of dry for subject matter, but it could go a wide variety of entertaining directions from there. Do you have any interest in seeing this? It doesn’t scream, “get me to the theater now!” but it could be something of note on streaming, for those who don’t feel it’s safe yet to go back out to reopened cinemas.
The theaters might not be staying open much longer, so planning to see whatever that’s new that we can as long as they are open in our area.
The Last Shift opens in LIMITED theaters on September 25, 2020.
