Have you heard of Boomerang? It’s been around since the late 90s and had a streaming app and channel since 2017. It features over 5,000 classic cartoons and even has some original cartoons like Scooby Doo Guess Who?
Boomerang is currently $4.99/month or $39.99 annually. It is available as a standalone app, an add-on channel through Amazon Prime Video and Roku.
They even are producing new Scooby Doo adventures under the series Scooby Doo, Guess Who with season 2 being released in July 2020.
They focus on children’s animated series, not the more adult offerings, so don’t expect to find Rick and Morty or Harley Quinn ever appearing on Boomerang. I’m not even sure Star Trek: Lower Decks at TV-14 would fit Boomerang. They really are going for younger kids cartoons.
We think our grandchildren would enjoy some of these shows and the kid inside me surely would.
We’ve put this on our list of niche streaming services to check out. If you’re already a subscriber, please let us know your thoughts on the channel/service in the comments below. What do you like/dislike about Boomerang?
Originally Boomerang was included with our Fubo subscription. When it went away, my son kicked in the $40 a year for the subscription. He and my granddaughter love watching the older cartoons and Scooby Doo

It’s a reasonable annual fee for the library of cartoons offered. We will probably be adding a subscription when we drop something, maybe sooner. Have you watched the new Scooby Doo, yet? If so, what do you think?

I watched Scoob with my granddaughter a bunch of times. I actually liked it a lot. The whole explanation for the story was great. The other stories they’ve had on but I haven’t paid a lot of attention to them. We watched the one where they were at Comic Con with Blue Falcon earlier today and I liked that too.
