Weekend #20 of 53 – 5/15 – 5/17/2020
Every week on Thursdays movies and/or TV shows at various streaming channels (these will change periodically) are selected to watch/rewatch. The goal is to highlight some noteworthy movie and/or TV shows to check out for the coming weekend.
Movie theater new releases are covered already under the opening week posts on Wednesdays (as soon as theaters reopen, these posts will resume), this new pics feature is strictly for streaming releases.
Some of these streaming services you may subscribe to, some you might want to check out a free trial and check out.
NOTE: If you’re coming to these posts weeks or months later, some and/or all of the picks listed below may no longer be on the streaming services indicated. Anything marked as “Original” typically doesn’t expire on the streaming service.

ALL Week #20 of 53 for 2020 Picks By Streaming Service

NETFLIX Movies
- *The Wrong Missy ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- *John Henry
- *Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – Interactive (see: Netflix Says More Viewer Interactive Movies Like Bandersnatch Are Coming)
- United 93 (May 16)
Enjoy interactive TV viewing, so no surprise I’m pretty psyched about checking out Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt this weekend if possible and comparing to Bandersnatch.
NETFLIX TV
- Riverdale Season 4 – 19 episodes
Based on Archie Comics
Still watching last weekend’s TV picks, including The Hollow and #1 in the world as of this writing Dead To Me starring Christina Applegate, but I’m definitely curious about the already established world of Riverdale.

AMAZON PRIME Movies
- Seberg (May 15)
AMAZON PRIME TV
- *The Last Narc – 4 episodes
Documentary, mini-series – Original - Alias Seasons 1-5
Jennifer Garner
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen Alias, but really dug that show back in the day. If you think of the Peppermint ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jennifer Garner, only cooler, less emotionally divesting, and more espionage. Alias helped put Garner on the map.
Also of interest is the new docuseries on a cartel narc who was kidnapped and murdered. It was released May 15 and swear I saw it before it got pulled (temporarily I’m assuming). Will keep checking back on this one because Netflix really seems to excel at some original documentaries.

ROKU Movies (FREE)
- Hobo With A Shotgun ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- You’ve Got Mail ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
The late, great Rutger Hauer has had enough and he goes off .. with a shotgun. Every bit worth the price of admission (FREE, ad-supported). For those of you that remember what it was like with dial-up internet once upon the time in the 90s, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan reunite for Nora Ephron’s You’ve Got Mail.

SHUDDER Movies

Disney+ TV
Since Disney+ launched and The Mandalorian ended, I haven’t used the service very much. Our grandchildren, however, are all about watching various Disney movies on there. We now know Mando season 2 is coming out in October 2020, features Boba Fett in at least some capacity returning and has one episode directed by grindhouse maestro Robert Rodriguez (Machete!)
- Fury Files (May 15)
Animated – TV Shorts – Marvel

DC Universe TV
- *Harley Quinn TV Series – Season 2, Episode 7: “There’s No Place To Go But Down”
