Episode 3 “So You Need A Crew?”
Opens with Harley trying to break into a vault by herself only to be upstaged by The Joker and his crew.
Harley laments to Poison Ivy that she needs her own crew. She watched the lame Kite Man able to secure a crew, so why can’t she?
She ends up checking out Maxie Zeus, a roman empire muscleman who screams his lines in a god-like voice.
He’s giving a seminar on why crews are so vital to criminal masterminds. Nothing like a superhero pitchman who Harley momentarily idolizes, only to realize his master plan is to put the make on her. Watch the episode to find out whether or not Harley gets a crew.
Wanda Sykes plays the Queen of Fables. A sorceress banished to a pitiful in a most unexpected place (and no, it’s not Arkham prison!). There is also a funny talk show sidestory (Tawny!)
This episode took several rewatches to fully appreciate. My least favorite episode so far at first, but warmed up to the jokes over additional viewings. My first reaction was, it’s not as funny as the other episodes so far.
Overall episode rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
